Our Riding Geldings |

Barleos Dandy Star—”Dan” 1978 Quarter Horse Buckskin Gelding |
Dan became Sissy’s horse in the late 1980’s. Since then he has not only proven our most reliable and trust worthy horse, but also our most priceless.
Most recently, Dan is being used lightly on Meremel Farm to teach riding lessons to beginners of all ages. |
Chance 1987 Appendix Quarter Horse Red Dun Gelding |
Chance was purchased as a two-year old, and proven that there was always something more to learn! Maurice trained him, but in actuality, it was probably 50/50.
Chance’s kind ways, and slow manner make him great for any type of rider. |
Lightning Bill Clinton—”Bill” 1985 Donkey Gelding Grey w/ Cross over Withers |
Bill was purchased as a baby to train to pull a wagon, and go on the occasional trail rides. He has proven talent in both.
He was named during a time when it was customary to name your donkey after the Governor, therefore was named appropriately.
While most people balk at the idea of riding a donkey on a trail, those that have, now fight over Bill.

King was our first foal that we kept to a mature age. He was shown at halter as a weanling, and entered training as Marci’s first project horse as a yearling.
He is always excited to work, and was started with Parelli training methods. He jumps barrels, “locks on”, and even known how to bow.
King has also been started riding bridleless. He has now been turned out with the other geldings, to become the youngest member of their herd. |
